Medical Center and Auxiliary Welcome "First Baby"

St. John’s Medical Center announces the birth of the First Baby of the New Year, who arrived at 12:32 pm on January 1, 2011. The baby girl, whom her parents have named Bella Grace, is the first child born to parents Nathan and Wendy Eaton of Lander, WY. Bella, who was delivered by Theresa Lerch, Certified Nurse Midwife, weighed in at 6 lbs 14 oz and measured 20 inches. The baby was cared for at St. John’s by pediatrician Tom Pockat, MD. The nurse for the labor and delivery was Mary Sharood, RNC.

The Medical Center Auxiliary recognized the birth by coordinating a warm welcome on behalf of community businesses. A large gift basket presented to the family included toys, baby care items and numerous gift certificates to be enjoyed by the proud new parents at local shops and restaurants.

Auxiliary President Linda Scott noted the appreciation of the Auxiliary for the business community’s support of the First Baby program. The Auxiliary coordinates special events and fundraisers to benefit St. John’s Medical Center. For information about joining the Auxiliary, call 739-7516.
